Quote from 67GTA on November 17, 2020, 9:46 pmWhen I first got the Nox I got too comfortable with only digging certain numbers. Went back to a site with the Nox I had pounded to death with 2 other detectors over the years and started digging iffy signals. I dug a crappy 15-16 signal mixed with iron and found a 1916 mercury dime. If I think there could be old stuff around I dig it all now.

Quote from KcZiLlEsT_ReLicS on November 17, 2020, 9:55 pmI'm also thankful I meet my buddy Brian a fellow metal detecter we go out now on weekend and run the same machine the Nox 800 so it's good because we share info on when we finds stuff like numbers, settings and tones at a site. I'm in my early 40's and he's in his 50's and he has had his machine for a few years now so I've learned some things from him. I'm glad to have meet him out swinging I think going out works well for both of us in the sense of sharing the same passion for this hobby.

Quote from 67GTA on November 17, 2020, 10:13 pmIt definitely helps. I go with my brother-in-law sometimes. It's not everyday that you meet another detectorist. When I talk about detecting people usually look at me like I have an arm growing out of my head.
